March 17 – Team WI, along with 160 other advocates from around the United States attended March on the Hill for Cystic Fibrosis. The event this year was held virtually with the Senators and Congressional Representative throughout the day.

During this event, we were scheduled 4 different meetings for elected officials for all of Wisconsin. The meetings were shorter than they have been in years but I was able to share Maddox’s story and ask for co sponsorship on an act as its making it way through legislation.

Throughout our meetings, I was able to meet with Congressman Mike Gallagher and his team member. While I was telling Maddox’s story and why I was asking for co sponsorship Mike has asked Dan to set up a meeting with David, who is the District Director so we could arrange for a meeting with the local Congressional team and Maddox!

David and I have been chatting with each one another we are working on details for our meeting.

At the end of the meetings, there was a wrap up virtual event where everyone was able to share their stories from the day.

Hopefully next year, we will be able to have this event in person!
