Team Maddox Update

Greetings Team Maddox Followers!

This post will have a different twist as it’s a wrap up of 2019 and what 2020 has in store.

As of January 2, 2020 we have 278 Facebook followers and had 30 blog posts in 2019. We are international (Hola Roberto!) and we have fans/followers all across the US from California to Vermont and everywhere in between. We started an Instagram account and I still have no idea how to leverage that platform to share our story yet. Team Maddox is also on Twitter (I think I flipped a switch for that but no idea how to use that to full potential yet either). Don’t forget to invite your friends to follow our story!

In 2019, we were at Charlie’s Drive In in Hortonville, a spotlight at the Timber Rattlers stadium, had a CF event at local Buffalo Wild Wings and sold Texas Roadhouse gift cards. At the Great Strides walk we had an awesome turn out for the team. At the end of 2019, our team raised over $3,200 dollars for the CF Foundation. You guys Rock!

Our Team was present at Madison for the State of WI March on the Hill Days to meet with our local elected officials. We also had two published blog posts in the National CF Blog. Whew! 2019 was a fun and busy year for Team Maddox for sure!

So, what is next for 2020 you ask? Well I know two things for sure, there will be another blog post in Q1 of 2020 as I am drafting that discussion right now and Team Maddox is heading to Washington D.C. in February for the annual March on the Hill! I’ve been nominated to go on behalf of Wisconsin to be able to tell Maddox’s story to our elected officials. I am so excited for this! Can’t wait to share this experience with the team!

I will continue to work on blog post updates from our CF adventure as well as just following Maddox and will eventually get a hang of our other social media platforms. As far as awareness events, more to come. For now, I’m taking a breather to catch up from 2019 before the events of 2020 start happening (if you know any places that hold awareness events, let me know and I can help get everything set up)!

In the meantime, enjoy some of the pictures from our Christmas season and bring on the new year!
